Courtney Barnett performs “Avant Gardener” on Tonight Show/Jimmy Fallon

Ever since I heard Courtney Barnett’s song, “Avant Gardener” at a WXPN listener meeting several months ago, I fell in love with her music. I was fortunate enough to see her perform live at Union Transfer in Philadelphia and it was an awesome show; just too short.

She recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon playing “Avant Gardener”. Below is a vid of her awesome performance:

The Writing Life

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a writer. I’ve always had a passion and obsession with books and writing; I was the girl who slept with books every night.

English was always one my best subjects and for as long as I can remember I’ve been writing. I would write and write and write my late elementary school years and middle school years. I was writing regularly for my high school newspaper, The Flash, as a sports reporter for multiple school athletics.

I haven’t written anything creatively in such a long time. It has been my dream since I was a kid — I need to get back to focusing trying to achieve my dream of becoming a writer or a journalist. Somehow, some way.

Minshara – “I Am Your Density” (LIVE) & Ernie Ball Battle of the Band for Warped Tour

Minshara is one of the most promising and truly talented up and coming bands; not only in the central PA area, but just one of the best I’ve seen and heard as of late.

They are up for the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands for the Camden, NJ leg of the Warped Tour this summer. Please go to this link — listen to the tracks, promote them, comment, and VOTE for them to play this year!
