Father John Misty

I cannot stop listening to Father John Misty’s Fear Fun.

The band is comprised of J. Tillman who previously had played drums in Fleet Foxes up until January 2012 when he left the band to begin a solo career.

It is a mix of alternative, indie, folk rock combined in one beautiful package.

And that is where Father John Misty began.

You’re guarding the gates, but it all got away.

So it’s been a while since my first post, but I wanted to post about a few new bands that I’ve been listening to a lot lately, and some new records coming out soon.

I discovered this new band, Atlas Genius, from a WXPN “Summer 2012 New Music Faves” playlist on Spotify. They are a band based out of Adelaide, South Australia and just released their debut EP, Through The Glass, on June 8, 2012

They are a mix of alt-indie rock and if that’s what you lean towards, you’re going to dig it.
